It feels like D.C. is holding its breath today. Today the world will (hopefully) find out who will become the 44th President of the United States. I can’t stop dwelling on the weight today holds on history as the deciding day. There are a lot of reasons why this election is historical, the most obvious of which is the possibility of the United States electing its first ever African American president or the first female Vice President into office. But historically, when considering the issues at hand, the election could mean a resolution for the most hopeful of voters. And the whole world has been watching with hope and anticipation to see the results. Whether you’re an Obama supporter or a McCain enthusiast, today’s a big deal.

Even Starbucks, Dunkin Doughnuts and Baskin Robin think so. All three companies are offering free food or coffee for the election day. Hope you voted.
